Your child may use more or less depending on his/her weight and sensitivity. Since most children potty train after age 2 the estimate was projected until the 3^rd birthday.

Cloth diapers: $20.00 is probably the average price of a cloth diaper. But you can get One Size cloth diapers that will go though the first few years of the child. You save even more. Also cloth diapers likely will be able to be used with other children, again saving you more. Last but certainly not least if no longer need to use your diapers and they are in good condition you can sell them. Yes, you can get some of your money back! The saving with cloth are hard to estimate because of all the potential areas to save.

As stated earlier most children are not potty trained by their 2^nd birthday. But with cloth diapers your diapers will still fit up to 35 lbs for most diapers. You child can be past three and still using the same diapers. So even though you would still be buying disposables for a 2 year old you won’t have to do that with the cloth diapers.
